There is a lot of buzz on campus at Paul Revere this week, with the Fall Book Fair going on in the community room (and online!) and our upcoming Latino Heritage Celebration tonight (October 24th) in the main building cafeteria.  It takes a lot of effort to pull events like our Heritage Celebrations together, and our school is fortunate to have committed parents and teachers on the planning committees and to have partnerships with some great local organizations who come in and work with our students on various projects and workshops.

One such organization is the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano.  Founded in 1967, the purpose of the organization is to educate the community about Mexico's culture through dance.  The company teaches and performs traditional based dances from throughout the Mexican republic.  They conduct regular cultural exchange programs, traveling and performing throughout Mexico and hosting guest groups that visit the Bay Area.  The company is recognized internationally for its contribution to Mexican folk dance and is the official dance company for the Mexican Consulate in San Francisco.

And did I mention there is also a potluck!!  So feel free to come on by the tonight at 5:30 for some great food and even better dancing!
