Paul Revere Elementary has been working with Mission Science Workshop for years, with field trips to the workshop as well as having instructors come in to the school and augment the science curriculum that we have here.  Another program that this fantastic organization offers is its "Second Saturday" program, where they open their doors on the weekend so that families may come and join in the fun.  Says Executive Director Dan Sudran,

We see our Saturday programs as a way for parents to follow through on the work we are doing with their children at our workshops by making science a family affair, as, really, all education should be.   So we hope your families will follow through whenever possible…..we now have 18 Saturday programs through the school year between our two workshops.

We have built new exhibits for you as well as doing substantial collecting over the summer – including humpback whale bones, as well as new bone puzzles and assemblies,  Cambrian trilobites (500+ million years old) from Utah, as well as a human hamster wheel which is competing with the our snakes and water “lab” for attention.

If you have the time and inclination head on over with the family.  Doors will be open from 10AM to 3PM at the workshop which is located on Church between 17th and 18th streets.
