2014 Excellence Fund

Dear friends and community members,

Paul Revere is a PreK-8 public school in Bernal Heights.  We have 460 students from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.  Our students work hard, both academically and socially, to make our school a place that fosters the joy of learning each day.  We are proud to be getting both community and citywide recognition for the strides we have made, including two recent SFUSD awards: the Impact Award for demonstrating an impact on student achievement, and the Innovation Award for innovative strategies and practices that connect with historically underserved student populations.  We have close many achievement gaps, but our work is far from done - and we need your help.

The School Improvement Grant (SIG) funding we received over the past few years has ended.  In order to maintain our school programs and build on our successes, our PTA is asking our school families and surrounding community for help in raising money during a direct appeal for our Excellence Fund.

Specifically, we would use Paul Revere's Excellence Fund to support:
  • Technology to enhance learning
  • Robust classroom libraries in English and Spanish
  • Hands-on science lessons with Mission Science Workshop.
  • Arts and music enrichment
Our goal is to raise $50,000, and we are hoping that all of our families and community members will participate in this direct appeal and contribute to Paul Revere's Excellence Fund.  We recommend a tax-deductible donation of $50.  We realize that many cannot contribute at this level while others may be able to give more - please know that every donation helps.

Thank you for helping to ensure that every student at Paul Revere has access to a rich and well-rounded education.  By working together, we can ensure that our school will serve all of our students at high levels and will shine brightly in our community.
